Community Services

Park United Methodist Church opens its doors for community services. We honor our military on Memorial Day weekend, host the annual Community Nurses Hospice Service of Remembrance, and offer community thanks to God on Thanksgiving Day by providing a free traditional Thanksgiving meal to all who wish to attend. .

 Memorial Day Service

Let us all pause during the Memorial Day weekend to reflect upon those who fought, and those who continue to fight, to preserve our freedom. Park United Methodist Church encourages members of the community to join with us to remember and show appreciation for the dedicated lives that have gone before us and to honor those who have served and those continue to do so. Remembering, honoring, and reaffirming our traditions is the true mark of celebration for Memorial Day. A special service will be held at Park Church on the Sunday evening before Memorial Day at 7:15 p.m.  The North East Choral Club provides appropriate music for the evening. Rev. Eric Leonard will give a message. Come to remember, come to celebrate, come to praise God’s presence in our memories, in our lives, and in our future. Let the sounds of freedom ring in our community.

 All Saints Day

All Saints Day Sunday.   We will commemorate those of our congregation who have died during the past year. You are also invited to bring a white votive candle in a glass holder to be placed on the altar rail in memory of your loved one who has passed on (not necessarily during the past year). Please bring your candle, labeled with your name and in whose memory it is being placed, to the church by Tuesday so it can be included in the bulletin.
